Healthy hair oils in our kitchen
Posted by Lil Lavender & Clary Sage: Promote estrogen balance and prevents thickening in the membrane tissue around the hair follicle that results in hair loss. Rosemary: One of nature's favouriete hair oils, thought to increase cellular metabollism, thereby stimulating hair growth. Extra virgin olive oil: Improves elasticity of your hair causing less breakage. Has great conditioning and nourishing qualities and adds shine. Reduces frizz and hair static which can also cause hair breakage. Extra virgin avocado oil: (One of my favourites:D) Packed with MORE monosaturated fatty acids than extra virgin olive oil. Full of phytosterols and high levels of antioxidants like vitamin E. This beautiful oil combines three easily absorbed nutrients that have been individually recommended for stimulating hair growth. It nourishes and strengthens hair strands, and protects them from damage. Almond oil: High moisture quality, increases manageability of the hair. Reduces inflammation, softens dead skin and eases irritation. Once dead skin is softened the follicles are freed making it easier for the hair to continue growing. Jamaican black castor oil: Known as the “100% natural rapid hair grower” and has been used medicinally for over 4,000 years. Virgin coconut oil: Lauric & Capric Acid protect against hair loss, Vitamin E keeps scalp healthy and rejuvenated. Has high moisture retaining capacity, fantastic anti-dandruff and conditioning qualities making it far better than any synthetic conditioner available in the market. Rapeseed oil: Vitamins E, Omega 3, 6, & 9. Grapeseed oil: Moisturising and regenerative properties. Easily absorbed into the scalp and good for people with sensitive skin because of its non-allergenic properties. Wheatgerm oil: Vitamins E, B1, B2, B3 and B6 and Squalene. The latter is the main component of skin surface polyunsaturated lipids, making it close to the actual oil your own body produces. All these vitamins and this type of oil is easily absorbed by skin cells and hair. Organic cold pressed palm oil: Vitamins A & E, Antibacterial, moisturising and highly nutritional. This oil contains lipids and saturated fats that feed the hair shaft, eliminating dryness. Contains vitamins D and K which are not present in other oils. Free radical neutralizer. References:
