Who Can Chop Off Their Hair
Posted by HMH Blogger By Patience Muia Cutting off your hair can be dramatic especially for those people who have had lengthy hair for a long period. Those with shoulder length hair are can also find it quite hard to chop off their hair. Feeling nervous and confused is obvious before making the decision to go for short hair. We often worry so much about how we may look after the big chop but believe me it’s mostly for the better. We fear that we will no longer look attractive in the eyes of our men. There is a myth that hair of black people does not grow as fast compared to hair from other races. But it is a misunderstanding because with good care black hair can grow as long and as fast as well. The reason people think that black hair is slow in growing lengthwise is because, black hair is normally kinky and curly hence it appears to be shorter than it is. Most black women opt to relax their hair hence causing breakage and damage to their hair. As a result, their hair does not grow longer due to the damage. Black hair in its natural state can shrink up to 90% of its real length hence appearing shorter contrary to the reality.
Some people think that only people with certain face shapes that can go for short hair but this is false. Cutting off your hair is quite a big deal at first and a big bold step as well, but the good thing is that it easily grows back quite fast. I understand the fear, gasps, and anxiety that one has before finally deciding that it is now time to give your hair a big chop. It's quite clear that short hair rocks!
Short hair is an everyone’s thing, whether black or white, long faces or round, I insist that anyone can comfortably wear short hair.
