You should be proud of it because I am sure with thin hair it would be more of a problem than a complain. I know thick hair could be hard to manage if you do not know how to handle it properly. You should be happy because thick hair can sustain damage unlike thin hair. You can try taming your hair with twists, braids and more versatile styles. Although thick hair takes a lot of time and energy while detangling, drying and styling, everyone will admit that a thick afro bush looks pretty good. By Patience Muia I know that hair that is too kinky could be a bother but there is something that you can do to correct the situation. If you have not given it a try yet, using castor oil, olive oil and coconut oils can save the situation a big deal! Combine these three products with Shea butter too as it is also so natural.

Try drying your hair on a lower heat setting. Too much heat can cause the most damage to your hair. Make sure that when drying your hair, you hold the dryer about 8 inches away from your head if possible. You could try using a round barrel brush on your hair while drying it as well. Do this by taking a small section of your hair and placing the brush against where your hair meets your scalp and running the blow-dryer along the other side of your brush (so that your hair is between the blow-dryer and your brush). Lastly, if you are willing to spend a lot of money, a new Paul Mitchell straightener is the best way to go if you want your hair to be pretty much perfectly straight. It is very costly. If you know anyone who has access to a salon store (i.e.your haird resser) who could maybe get the straightener for you at a discount price, try that first. This specific straightener is usually $150, but I got mine for about $90 since my mom is friends with a hair stylist running her own business.

When using any kind of straightening spray, hold the bottle upright away from your sectioned piece of hair about 4 inches and spray a light mist. Set the bottle down and straighten the section of the hair from root to tip. Give these tips a try and see what changes will come along with them.

Here are some ways and how to go about them; Castor oil This is a great natural hair straightener. Better results can be achieved by using castor oil with a hair dryer. Apply castor oil to your hair and massage straight from the roots to the tips of your hair. Dry every section with the hair dryer as you comb through the hair .This will ensure that your hair remains straight for a long time.

Milk

Mix 1/3 cup of milk with an equal amount of water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on your hair before you wash it. Comb your hair to ensure that the mixture spreads well on your hair. After it dries shampoo and condition it. This method will keep your hair straight for a while. Coconut milk and lime juice

Do not used processed milk on this method. Get fresh coconut milk and add ½ cup of fresh lime juice. Mix the two thoroughly and place the mixture in a refrigerator to make a thick crème. Now apply the crème from the scalp to the tips. After you are done massaging, wrap your hair with a towel and wait for an hour. This method may not straighten your hair immediately but if you can consistently do this thrice a week, you will achieve great results. Hair dryer and hair brush

This has always given excellent results. Do this when your hair is wet. Continuously brush your hair as you dry it with the hair dryer. It does away with all the kinking and curling. The results of this method can go a long way. Flat iron This the best way to achieve shiny straight hair. Flat iron is available in beauty stores. With flat iron you can either straighten dry hair or flat iron wet hair hence straightening and drying it at the same time. The heat from the flat iron is responsible for giving your haira shine. You should bear in mind that home straightening methods should not be done for more than three or two times a week because too much of it will cause damage to your scalp and hair as well. Honestly, straight hair has a variety of hair styles and with minimal effort.Sadly, those willing to go from curly to straight hair opt to use chemicals and as a result they end up with badly damaged hair.
